Food at Manor Cottage
As well as serving superb breakfasts, a 3 course evening meal menu is also available for guests at pre-booked tables. Why not order a delicious Cornish Cream Tea to wait for you on your arrival? Alternatively you may want to order a 'beach box' of packed lunch goodies.
All our food is produced using as many quality local and organic ingredients as we can find. Vegetarian and low gluten choices are always available - don't forget to ask if you have other dietary needs. We only use free range eggs and can always offer
de-caffeinated alternatives to any hot drinks. A high chair is available for very young guests.
Breakfast:
We offer a fresh cold buffet plus a cooked Cornish breakfast as you like it.
The buffet offers you a choice from a selection of cereals, breads for toast, fresh fruit, yogurts and other cold items like cheese and cold meats.
Our Cornish breakfast typically offers smoked bacon, hogs' pudding (a delicious West Country delicacy), sausage, mushrooms, tomato and egg. Our vegetarian breakfast offers a selection of items like vegi. sausage, egg, mushrooms and sauté potatoes. Breakfast is included in the cost of all of our rooms.
Beach lunch boxes:
We realise that you may be planning a day out during your stay (perhaps on one of Cornwall 's famous secluded beaches or maybe walking the coast path). It is sometimes hard to find a good selection of delicious picnic food, so we offer to fill the gap! Our beach boxes typically include freshly made rolls /sandwiches with a selection of fillings, home made cake, fresh fruit, mineral water /fruit juice, kettle chips or other savoury or sweet snacks. There is also a complementary tea/coffee flask loan for guests who will be returning in the evening. Boxes are priced at £6.50 per person. We request that this service be booked the night before it is needed.
Cream Teas:
One of the pleasures of visiting Cornwall is spoiling yourself with lovely warm scones, lashings of jam and rich crusty golden clotted cream - all washed down with a pot of fine tea. Why not spoil yourself and pre-order our version timed for your arrival? We will cook and serve your warm scones from our Aga. £4.50 per person.
Evening meals:
We are pleased to offer simple traditional delicious home cooked evening meals in our lovely conservatory dining room on request. A choice of fresh starters, main courses and delicious deserts are prepared using the best of local and seasonal ingredients. Choices may include seafood, meat and vegetarian options from home made soups, fresh salads, roasts, savoury tarts and grilled fish dishes. After your meal enjoy deserts like Eton Mess, Chocolate Torte or a platter of Cornish cheeses.

Tray Suppers:
If you want to stay in and relax why not try one of our tray suppers? A delicious bowl of soup with a toastie or butty of your choice can be served on request for only £6.95.
Add a glass of wine, beer or cider to enjoy with your tray supper for a total of £9.50.
Because meals use freshly cooked ingredients, evening dining can only be provided to guests who pre-book their table 24 hours ahead.
